CPM-MCVC-3432S-RLS

The ClearPath-MCVC model is used mainly for velocity (speed) control replacing AC induction motors, synchronous motors, DC motors, and more expensive (and non-integrated) servo systems. But it also has a torque mode, as well as the ability to precisely move between two different user-defined positions, so it can replace pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders. In all cases, you get smooth, quiet, bi-directional, and precisely servo-regulated motion in a low-cost, integrated package.

Operating Modes

Ramp to Selected Speed	By changing digital inputs (from your PLC, switches, etc.), ClearPath will smoothly ramp to one of four preset speeds.
Manual Speed Control	Fine control of speed from zero to max speed at the turn of a knob. Remembers your last set speed or resets to zero speed when motor is enabled.
Spin on Power Up	Just turn on power and smoothly ramp to your preset speed. For when all you need is reliable, constant speed from a brushless motor, and a bare minimum of wiring. It doesn't get any easier than this.
Variable Speed	Connect a digital waveform (PWM or frequency) from your PLC or other device, and ClearPath will run at a speed proportional to the waveform. (This mode can also be used to make ClearPath a drop-in replacement for a brush motor.)
Variable Torque	Apply a variable torque (or force or tension) in proportion to a digital command (PWM or frequency)
Sensor Positioning	Trigger ClearPath to move in either direction and it will smoothly ramp up to a chosen speed and stop when it detects a sensor (or switch).
Absolute Positioning	Trigger ClearPath to move to one of two preset positions. Perfect for replacing air cylinders where more power and finesse is needed.

All of the items from our eCommerce store (ClearPath/ClearPath Accessories, Hudson servo motors, Power Supplies, ClearCore, ClearLink, etc.) can be shipped to a number of selected countries outside of the United States. Products shipped internationally may take up to two more days to ship due to extra processing time, but we will do our best to ship small quantities within three days for appropriate models.

IMPORTANT: Additional charges not included in Teknic's shipping charges
Teknic's international shipping charges include express air transportation, brokerage fees, and clearance entry fees, but your destination country may charge you import duties (tariffs) and/or taxes and other fees for the products you import from Teknic. These charges are not included and must be paid by you upon receipt of your shipment.

Unfortunately, we cannot calculate what your additional charges may be because customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country. As a general guideline, the European Union duty rate for ClearPath motors is 2.7%; the global average import duty rate is about 4%; rates of 8-12% are not uncommon; and a few countries are higher. For exact details, please contact your destination's customs office or visit their official website.

AC Blower Kit

Read measured position, velocity, torque, and much more	Full access to real-time status of all motion parameters (more than 30 different status indicators)
Safety shutdowns	Constant, automatic monitoring of a variety of motor operating conditions, and shutdowns as necessary to prevent motor and/or system damage.
Soft limits	Set software end-of-motion limits to prevent accidental crashes (can be used simultaneously with physical limit switches).
Global torque limiting	Programmable limit on the maximum amount of torque.
Automatic brake coil control	Automatically engage a third-party fail-safe brake when an axis shuts down or is disabled.
Group shutdowns	Automatically stop all motion axes simultaneously when any axis has a problem. Also, a global stop input allows non-programmatic simultaneous stopping of all axes using a digital input, button, or switch.
Up to 16 axes per com port	Using low-cost SC Hub boards ($49), create up to 4 "mini-networks" of up to 4 axes each, which can be daisy-chained (distributed or plugged directly into each other without cables) to allow maximum flexibility and minimal wiring.
Robust communication	Innovative hardware and communication design allows high command throughput (over 1,000 commands per second) without using noise-sensitive high-speed circuitry or non-deterministic "crash and retry" protocols. All inputs are optically isolated for even more noise immunity.
Automatic network configuration	No need for setting DIP switches or programming network addresses. Just power up the system and each axis is automatically addressed based on its position in the network.
g-Stop™ anti-vibration move profiles	Motion profile sculpting based on patented anti-vibration technology. Allows the fastest possible moves without exciting mechanical resonances in the machine. Easy to configure, and robust operation even as mechanics wear over time. See video demonstration.
Triggered moves	One or more axes can be configured to start simultaneously upon command or electronic signal for the most precise synchronization requirements.
Head-tail moves	Create two- or three-part move profiles where the beginning and/or the end of the moves are at a different maximum velocity than the middle part of the moves. This is useful for making fast moves with one or two slower segments (e.g., moving past a camera slowly and then moving to a target quickly, or slowly clamping something at the end of a fast move).
Asymmetric moves	Create move profiles with different acceleration and deceleration limits. Often, because of friction (or gravity), an axis can decelerate faster than it can accelerate, and this feature allows faster moves in these cases.
Trigger events at user-defined positions	Get a notification when an axis reaches a certain position (either after the start or before the end of the move) to allow synchronization with other events or processes.
Positive/Negative torque limiting	Independently limit positive torque and negative torque (typically used in clamping applications).
Conditional torque limiting	Automatically limit torque (positive and/or negative torque) when an axis is in a certain positional zone, or based on an electrical signal, or when a move completes.
Attention generation	Automatically generate interrupts based on user-defined events so that you don't have to constantly poll for them. This creates a more responsive and synchronized system.
Position capture	Precisely capture axis position on-the-fly based on an electronic input.

This blower kit (AC powered fan and shroud) provides a significant increase in continuous torque for certain AC-input (integral hp) ClearPath motors. Motor part numbers shown with a “_fan” after them show the increased specifications using this blower. Note that this kit is not IP rated for dust or liquid protection, and needs AC wiring separate from the motor.
