ClearPath-SC blends a sophisticated, networked motion controller into the already compact ClearPath all-in-one servo motor system. There is no easier way to get high-performance motion control.

Two models are available:

  The SCSK model is a servo system for the price of a stepper motor/drive system, but 2-3 times the power;

  The SCHP model is more than 4 times the power of the SK model, and although a modest price premium over the SK, compared to other similar power servos, the HP is about 50% lower cost and a compact, all-in-one system

Using low-cost SC Hub boards ($49), create up to 4 "mini-networks" of up to 4 axes each, which can be daisy-chained (distributed or plugged directly into each other without cables) to allow maximum flexibility and minimal wiring.
Robust communicationInnovative hardware and communication design allows high command throughput (over 1,000 commands per second) without using noise-sensitive high-speed circuitry or non-deterministic "crash and retry" protocols. All inputs are optically isolated for even more noise immunity.
Alternative step & direction interfaceClearPath-SC's inputs can be configured to accept step and direction (or quadrature A/B) signals like the ClearPath-SD series. But while running in step & direction mode with the SC series, you can also communicate using your own C++ (or .NET) application software to query status or change parameters.
move profiles
Motion profile sculpting based on patented anti-vibration technology. Allows the fastest possible moves without exciting mechanical resonances in the machine. Easy to configure, and robust operation even as mechanics wear over time. See video demonstration.
Triggered movesOne or more axes can be configured to start simultaneously upon command or electronic signal for the most precise synchronization requirements.
Head-tail movesCreate two- or three-part move profiles where the beginning and/or the end of the moves are at a different maximum velocity than the middle part of the moves. This is useful for making fast moves with one or two slower segments (e.g., moving past a camera slowly and then moving to a target quickly, or slowly clamping something at the end of a fast move).
Asymmetric movesCreate move profiles with different acceleration and deceleration limits. Often, because of friction (or gravity), an axis can decelerate faster than it can accelerate, and this feature allows faster moves in these cases.
Trigger events at user-defined positionsGet a notification when an axis reaches a certain position (either after the start or before the end of the move) to allow synchronization with other events or processes.
Positive / Negative torque limitingIndependently limit positive torque and negative torque (typically used in clamping applications).
Conditional torque limitingAutomatically limit torque (positive and/or negative torque) when an axis is in a certain positional zone, or based on an electrical signal, or when a move completes.
Attention generationAutomatically generate interrupts based on user-defined events so that you don't have to constantly poll for them. This creates a more responsive and synchronized system.
Position capturePrecisely capture axis position on-the-fly based on an electronic input.
